These fish are guaranteed to be among the most healthy available for sale online. So much so that any purchases from this category are backed by a Live-Arrival 7 Day Guarantee! Sphaeramia nematoptera This fish has a prehistoric look and will float aimlessly in the water column. It prefers dimmer lighting as it is a deep water cave dwelling fish. Note it's large red eyes, made for seeing in complete darkness. That said, this fish can acclimate well to the bright lights of your typical reef aquarium but it may take some time. It's best to provide this species with dim lit areas within the reef scape such as rocky structures and caves made of live rock. As with all marine fish, these fish benefit from a varied diet of vitamin enriched foods. The diet should consist of a variety of meaty foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp or other frozen preparations. Over time, they may acclimate to high-quality flake foods. Pajama Cardinal's and other Corals and invertebrates can also benefit greatly from live phytoplankton which is readily available to them in the wild. |
