Leptoseris, also called “wrinkle corals” or “porcelain corals,” are small polyp stony (sps) corals that belong to the Agariciidae family. Depending on the species, Leptoseris corals mainly grow by encrusting and often develop small ridges. They can be found in a variety of shades, including multi-color mottling. Leptoseris corals require low to moderate lighting. Some species of Leptoseris prefer less, indirect light than others. We recommend a range of 120-250 PAR, but they may be too high depending on the specific species of Leptoseris coral. Bear in mind that most corals can be gradually adapted to lighting conditions outside of their normal preferences. Leptoseris corals also prefer moderate water flow. Please note, these corals are very sensitive to changes in water parameters. Any changes you implement must be gradual.
