View Marine Fish Compatibility Chart Chrysiptera parasema/Chrysiptera sp.The Yellowtail Blue Damselfish is a very hardy and beautifully colored fish that is great for both beginners and veterans. They have a metallic blue body with a striking yellow tail that makes this fish very visible in the aquarium. They are considered to be less aggressive than other damsels. They can darken their coloration when stressed to a dark blue. They prefer aquariums with plenty of hiding spots and peaceful tankmates. In the wild, the Yellowtail Blue Damselfish feeds on plankton, algae, and small crustaceans. In addition to algae, supplement its diet with vitamin enriched meaty foods like mysis and brine shrimp. Damselfish, along with other fish, corals and invertebrates will also benefit greatly from Live Phytoplankton which is readily available to them in the wild. |
