Chaetodon vagabundus

The Vagabond Butterflyfish  is gorgeous, appearing primarily white with diagonal stripes forming chevron-like markings. It has a black eye band, and the dorsal, caudal, and anal fins are yellow with two black vertical bands.

This Butterflyfish is semi-aggressive and may reside with most other species of butterflyfish.

The Vagabond Butterflyfish is not reef safe and prefers a diet of meaty foods like shrimp or krill and will eat some algae and herbivore foods.

Butterflyfish along with other fish, corals and invertebrates will also benefit greatly from live phytoplankton which is readily available to them in the wild.
