View Marine Fish Compatibility Chart Acanthurus pyroferus Chocolate Tangs (also known as Mimic Lemonpeel Tang Surgeonfish, Orange-gilled Surgeonfish, Yellow Mimic Tang, and the Pacific Mimic Tang) are ferocious algae grazers and a great addition to a properly sized reef tank. The body of the tang is while a juvenile is yellow with blue around the eyes and gills. As they mature, the body darkens to tan and forms red and orange coloration around the eyes and pectoral fins. |
