It is known to be aggressive and will attack other more peaceful fish. It does better in larger aquariums with bigger fish. Only one of this species should be kept per aquarium and take care when selecting tankmates. The Fiji Damselfish should be fed a diet of vitamin enriched meaty foods like mysis and brine shrimp. They may supplement their diet with algae in the aquarium and may need to be supplemented with prepared foods for herbivores if there is a lack of naturally occurring algae. Damselfish, along with other fish, corals and invertebrates will also benefit greatly from Live Phytoplankton which is readily available to them in the wild. |
