The Bumble Bee Snail, also known as the striped engina, is a small species of sea snail with black and yellow bands on it's shell resembling a bumble bee or wasp.  They feed on detritus, uneaten food, and some even some troublesome invertebrates such as vermetid snails and bristleworms.  Without sufficient food they may feed on other invertebrates in the aquarium.

Invertebrates can be more sensitive to parameter changes than fish or coral.  High nitrate levels or sudden changes in pH or Salinity can be very harmful to inverts and may cause death.  It is recommended to do a slow acclimation process when adding new inverts to your aquarium.
