Rare in the hobby due to their limited availability, this lively Jawfish sports rich, vibrant coloration in shades of yellows and oranges. iridescent blue spots decorate the length of the fishes body and head. They burrow in the substrate at night and can be territorial over their chosen location. Because of this, the fish requires a substrate of at least 3". The ideal setup for this fish is a 30 gallon or larger aquarium.

The diet of the Blue Dot Jawfish should consist of a variety of marine fish, crustacean flesh, and mysis. It should be fed at least three times per day.

As with all marine fish, Jawfish will also benefit greatly from live phytoplankton which is readily available to them in the wild.
