Blue Leg Reef Hermit (5 Pack)

 
The Blue Leg Reef Hermit is a great addition to any saltwater aquarium clean up crew.  True to their name, their predominate feature is their blue legs with red bands. They will scour your rockwork in search of algae and will even keep your substrate stirred up and clean.  They are very diligent eaters and can eat Green Hair Algae, certain species of Cyanobacteria, and even Detritus.  

They have been known to attack other hermits and even snails for their shells.  We recommend keeping a few in the aquarium to keep the housing war to a minimum.

Invertebrates can be more sensitive to parameter changes than fish or coral.  High nitrate levels or sudden changes in pH or Salinity can be very harmful to inverts and may cause death.  It is recommended to do a slow acclimation process when adding new inverts to your aquarium.
