We've had this one for over 12 weeks and we've decided it was time to frag a few pieces! Colony photo is for reference only. What you are buying is a 3/4" Frag pictured next to it.
Acropora corals are small polyp stony (SPS) corals that belong to the Acroporidae family. There are over 149 known species of Acropora, making it the largest genus of corals. Depending on the species, Acropora corals may grow as plates or as branches. Found mostly in shades of green and brown, some Acropora species can be found in vibrant colors. Acropora Corals, like many SPS respond negatively to increased levels of Nitrates and Phosphates. High nutrient levels and/or insufficient lighting may cause browning out of coral or RTN.
