View Marine Fish Compatibility Chart The Cream Angelfish, also known as the Yellowtail Angelfish, is a species of marine angelfish found in the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific Ocean. These fish are known for their striking and vibrant coloration, which makes them popular choices for marine aquarium enthusiasts. They have a deep blue-black body with a bright yellow caudal (tail) fin, which gives them their common name. They also often display vertical blue-black bars along their body. In the wild, these angelfish primarily feed on a diet consisting of various algae, sponges, and small invertebrates found on or around coral reefs. In captivity, they can be fed a diet of high-quality prepared marine foods, including pellets, flakes, and frozen foods. Yellowtail Angelfish are known for their territorial behavior, especially as they mature. They can be aggressive towards other fish of the same or similar species, so it's generally recommended to keep them singly or in larger tanks with ample hiding places and plenty of swimming space. Angelfish along with other fish, corals and invertebrates will also benefit greatly from live phytoplankton which is readily available to them in the wild. |
