Males typically have a bright blue-green body with a distinct yellow tail fin, which gives the species its common name. In contrast, females are more subdued in coloration, often being shades of yellow, brown, or green with less distinct markings. Wrasses is best known for its ability to eat pests such as fireworms, flatworms, and pyramidillid snails. The diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with marine flakes and pellet food. |
